The Izerwaren story began in 1991, when Rik Tackenberg, a shipwright from Rotterdam, recognized the need for specialized yachting hardware while repairing some of Fort Lauderdale’s most prestigious mega yachts.
Rik traveled to Europe to source the durable, distinctive hardware he believed the marine industry needed. He launched Izerwaren from his home garage and, within a few years, opened the company’s Fort Lauderdale showroom.
More than three decades later, Rik’s knowledge, passion, and commitment to customers continue to shape Izerwaren. He remains available at the showroom, where visitors can explore specialized marine hardware and benefit from his extensive experience.
